This blog is now our home
I'm really, really into CostCo chicken bakes. Seriously, name me a better meal on the road when considering price-calorie-deliciousness ratios. Can we also talk about the etymology of "chicken bake"? Mm-mm.
Actually, this post is really an introduction to our new blog. If you're here because you clicked on a link from one of our social platforms, thank you and welcome! This is our effort in creating Streetlight Cadence's own little corner of the Internet in alignment with IndieWeb principles. We've been feeling like this is the right move for a while. Here's a little about our band if you randomly stumbled across our site!
Maybe one day we'll get brave enough to delete our profiles from the places we've spent so many years growing. For now, this feels like a good place to start. It feels closer to that feeling we get when we see friends after not seeing each other for some time. It's smaller, and freeing.
As the band's webmaster, I'm slowly moving all of our "posts" from the other platforms into this blog's archive; please send us an email or sign our guestbook for anything you'd might like to see, and have fun reliving some of our adventures via the blog and gallery pages!
"I wish you endless dreams and the furious desire to realize some of them. I wish you to love what must be loved, and to forget what must be forgotten. I wish you passions. I wish you silences. I wish you birdsongs as you wake up and children’s laughter. I wish you to respect the differences of others, because the worth and virtues of each person often remain to be discovered. I wish you to resist the stagnation, the indifference, and the negative values of our time. I wish you at last to never to give up the search, for adventure, life, love. For life is a wonderful adventure and no reasonable person should give it up without a tough fight. I wish you above all to be yourself, proud of being and happy, for happiness is our true destiny." - Jacques Brel, 1968
