Thank you for 2024

The start of each new year welcomes a kind of peace that allows you to imagine what dreams might come to reality in the year ahead, as well as stew upon those that did manifest in the year before. It is with complete certainty that we can say that all of it is possible because of your support.
We started our year by embarking on the biggest tour we've ever done, playing mostly in small bars and clubs in the southeast to audiences of, for the most part, no more than 20 people. Those were some of the toughest weeks of our lives. Our vision was that it was all worth it if at least one person was positively impacted by our music every night. World change comes in small steps, I guess. We forewent most of our income to fund the tour, knowing that the dream is as real as we make it. The immense generosity of our friends who housed, fed, and transported us was a gentle reminder to believe in the good of it all - what music can do is much bigger than anything we'll ever become.
Then came summer, where we dove deep into post-production for Season 2 of "Will Play For Food". We are SO proud of what we created.
We spent some time in the backwoods of Canada to finish writing the songs for our upcoming album. Then, as Season 2 ran its course, we started to plan our massive reunion show at the Hawaii Theatre that happened a couple of weeks ago. That in itself is its own story, but again, one marked by generosity.
As some of you might have experienced, live music is a wonderful thing that's slowly becoming inaccessible to many people. What we didn't spend on the Brighter Than Ever tour and the TV show from our Patreon earnings, we were able to use to buy tickets for students from the Honolulu Community College MELE program, students and our former director from the HPU Symphony Orchestra, and many guests who simply couldn't afford tickets to a Hawaii Theatre show. We covered about 40 tickets. You gave a beautiful experience to 40 people.
As we head into 2025, all we can say is who knows what's on the horizon? We'll keep it fun, fresh, and meaningful. It's quite an inspiring thing to see how much can change over the course of a year. Thank you for being our backbone. Thank you for believing in the dream.
With love,
Streetlight Cadence
